MCIU at DPR/LPG Stakeholders Forum Conference
On the 21st November 2019, the Department of Petroleum Resources had its stakeholders’ forum conference for the year. This year’s conference held at the Cedar House, Airport Road, Warri Delta State had delegates from different Petroleum and Gas Companies as well as educational institutions.
The theme for this year: “Maximizing Profit through Safe Operations and Compliance”.
The conference had delegates from different multinational companies and training facilities. Michael and Cecilia Ibru University were not left out as its delegates led by Pastor. Yomi Adelegan (Head, Audit and Compliance) were on ground to participate.

The Head of Gas, Department of Petroleum Resources, Engr. Victor Owhodiasa gave the welcome address on behalf of the Zonal Operations Controller, Department of Petroleum Resources, Warri Zone Mr.Antai A.E.
The DPR Personnel spoke on why Nigerians should use more of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) as it is cheaper and promotes a healthier environment than firewood.

The Technical Presentation sessions had representatives of different petroleum companies such as Matrix Energy, West Africa Pumping Services Ltd (WAPSL) speaking on the importance of maintaining sound safety culture when using the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
The Conference was an eye-opener for external participants as it gave them insight into the advantages of using Liquefied Petroleum Gas in a better way and why it is advisable to invest in the Nigerian Gas Market.
