World Environment Day is set aside by the United Nations encouraging everyone to protect the environment. People across the globe are inspired to become active participants in ensuring that we live on a safer planet.
Do not litter!
Please don’t litter in your society and roads. Set a good example. Use dustbins, it will help in keeping the environment clean. If environment is dirty, consult with the people in your community and other authorities in order to create awareness. Work with them and volunteers to clean the litters. As the saying goes; cleanliness is next to godliness.
We should plant trees in our environment or we can also adapt any tree and take care of that. Trees help in controlling the pollution. Having lots of trees in our environment will help maintain a clean and green environment. A beautiful green society you can inspire others to follow the track and save the city and environment.
Restore water, use eco-friendly products, do not dump electronic gadgets indiscriminately. Be eco-friendly by using bicycle instead of cars that makes a lot of noise and increases pollution.
Recycle plastic materials
Don’t just throw away the plastic bottles or plates that you have used, instead recycle them as this is cost effective and beneficial to the environment. Instead of buying individually-packaged drinks, consider buying a bulk container of the beverage you want. Plastic takes years to decompose and it is hazardous especially when burnt or thrown away.
Water is wasted more frequently than we can see. Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth. Don’t turn your shower on until you’re ready to get in, you can even use a bucket as this saves water. Limit your water usage as you wash dishes. Changing old habits will be good for both the environment and your wallet.
